On Lesvos you can climb at the organised climbing field at the site “Kriftis ta Marmara”, located at a distance of 10 km. from Plomari in the region of Panagia Kryfti. There you can find 26 routes of athletic type. The rock has a height of 200m and is limestone. The view from the top will compensate your efforts to reach it. A bit closer to the sea, there are rocks ideal for watersolo, traverse and bouldering.
The waterfalls of Man’katsa, close to Mandamados, is another area suitable for climbing. After a dirt road of about 1 km you will find a signed trail which drives you directly to the spot of the waterfall and its dark-coloured rocks of 15-20m height.
